Promotional design
logo and flyer design for new creative writing workshops.
I first heard about Wendy Ann Greenhalgh because she had recently published a book that I had my eye on: ‘Mindfulness & the Art of Drawing‘. So, when I had an email from her asking me to design a logo and flyer for her upcoming workshops I was obviously excited!
Drawn To The Page is a 2 year creative partnership project funded by Arts Council England. Workshops are held at three brilliant galleries: De La Warr Pavilion, Jerwood Gallery and Towner Art Gallery.
Drawn To The Page will be initiating a new conversation between literature and the visual arts in the South East and providing a platform for emerging and more established writers to publish their creative responses to art on the Drawn To The Page blog.
I will be working with Wendy for date and image revisions to the flyers. So keep an eye out if you’re interested in booking a space.
Below is the one of the first concepts for the logo. I just love the typeface so can’t help but to show it off! Wendy wanted a square logo so we opted for the less ornate character options of the same font but kept the fluidity by using the swirl going through the square. A nice reference to writing and art.
