Digital illustration

A friendly retro robot I had fun constructing with Illustrator.

Creating this digital robot illustration (using Illustrator) was one of my personal projects. I wanted to create depth, light and shadows using solid block colour instead of drop shadow or highlight effects.

I used everyday items to create his dials and buttons and with all the odd shapes this gave me, I got to play and practise getting this just right. Not everyone notices that his body is a washing machine and his legs and arms vacuum cleaners.
